Paint Nites (www.paintnite.com) are hugely popular in Boston.  You meet up with friends (or come by yourself) at a local bar or restaurant.  For a fee, you're given paint, an apron, brushes and a blank canvas.   Purchase a cocktail if you like. Over the next two hours, an experienced teacher guides you in recreating one of their paintings, which you then get to take home.
