From: City Of AlamedaOn January 30, 2025, the City released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Cultural Arts and Arts Programing grants. The Public Art Commission (PAC) approved an RFP to provide eight grants totaling $60,000 of Public Art Fund monies for cultural arts and arts programming in Alameda. The RFP was released on January 30, 2025, with all proposals due on March 20, 2025. A total of seventeen (17) proposals were submitted covering an array of artistic disciplines such as dance, theater, and mixed media.
The PAC made a final determination on grant awardees at a special meeting held on April 28, 2025. The PAC decided to award two (2) additional grants and $10,000 of additional Public Art Fund monies for a total of ten (10) grants and $70,000. The following proposals were approved for funding:

Other Art Funding Opportunities
Zellerbach Family Foundation - Together in Community
Grants support fairs, festivals and other public gatherings and events that celebrate and uplift historically underserved communities, create opportunities to connect and share space, and articulate a meaningful cultural component and/or purposeful community engagement. Events must take place in Alameda, Contra Costa, or San Francisco Counties. Grants will be made in $5,000 or $10,000 amounts to eligible grantseekers.

Zellerbach Family Foundation - Community Arts Grant
Community Arts will award approximately $1 million in grants to individual artists and nonprofit arts and culture organizations in the Bay Area. Grants will be awarded in $5,000, $10,000 and $15,000 amounts.
