Join us in celebrating National Reading Month at the Rocket City Reading Festival, in partnership with Huntsville-Madison County Public Library! Make your way to Apollo South on Sunday, March 10 from 11 AM-3 PM for this free family-friendly event dedicated to the magic of reading.

Stories are waiting to be discovered at this festival, from local authors showcasing their incredible work at the Authors’ Village in the Apollo South Dome, to the beloved HMCPL book-mobile. Can’t wait to dig into your latest literary finds? Visit the Artist Meadow, where Huntsville and Madison’s Silent Book Clubs will be holding a meet-up. Guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets and chairs to comfortably read while catching some rays! 

Plus, plenty of family-friendly activities, bounce houses and interactive performances to enjoy: 

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Fantasy Playhouse Story Hour (ages 3-5)

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Huntsville & Madison County Silent Book Club Meetup

1:00 PM – 1:30 PM WLRH Sundial Writers Corner Live Reading

1:30 PM – 2:15 PM Kids’ Sing-A-Long with Miss Calliope

Feeling hungry? We’ve got you covered! Local food trucks will be serving up delicious bites, and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. So mark your calendars and get ready for a day filled with reading fun!
