Volunteers Needed!

Riverside Hospice in Smithfield and Williamsburg needs your assistance! We are looking for volunteers for our Hopsice program. Anyone from 16-18 years of age can voplunteer doing administrative work in our offices. 18+ can volunteer with admin or with patients and families. Hospice care is specialized care for the terminally ill. Our mission is to provide holistic care for the patients and their families through pain control, emotional support, spiritual support and comfort. We have volunteers who are musical and can play instruements or sing to patients, some who are crafty and can play games and some who just sit and read or offer a reasuring hand to hold. Our volunteers also offer caregivers the chance to have a break to go to their own appointments or take a rest.
