I am a fifth generation Mississippi farmer, most people just call me Pepper. Here's a photo of Blue Bird Acres' newest members, a flock of India Runner ducks with my daughter Sophia, 6th generation farmer in training.

Blue Bird Acre is a comuninity supported agriculture (CSA) farm in Mississippi providing fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers to shareholders year round. A Shareholder in a C.S.A. farm is a person/household who pays money or labour to recieve a weekly share of the veggies produced on the farm. I don't run a farm stand or any pick your own fields, Blue Bird Acre is a micro farm,less than an acre in production,raised bed,hoop house/high tunnel,amercican intensive gardening.

Members pick up their shares Once a week on the farm Wednesday or Sunday from 9 am until 7 pm.~~NEW for 2006 DELIVERY~~ available for 2 or more shareholders in a neighborhood! I'll bring the veggies to a central location/shareholders house on Tuesday,Thursday or Saturday & you will pick up in your neighborhood + $45.00 per Season [Spring,Summer,Winter] share cost for deliveries. I will add these as "drop off points" to the website as they become available.

Saturday 9:00-3:00,corner of Jefferson & High street [ by the old Flea Market building.]. Take the High street exit off I-55 & it is on your left right after you pass 'Justins Boot store' on your right. You may also enter though the main gates of the fairgrounds & drive past the livestock buildings to reach it or enter though the gates on Jefferson street.
