Welcome to our home, our work, and our lifestyle here at CC Thoroughbred Farm at Black Bluffs Equestrian Center. The horses and the dreams we can achieve are all a dream come true and I hope I can share it with you!

Thea Chesney grew up in Douglas, Wyoming on a cattle ranch. She went from a two-room country school to Fountain Valley School, a private boarding prep school, and then to Colorado State University where she acquired degrees in Equine Sciences and Equine Reproduction. She continued on with her passion for the equine industry through horse training and breeding in Wyoming before moving to Mitchell, Nebraska in 2007.

We breed and raise Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, and Morgans. Here we are training horses for any discipline you may choose and have amazing facilities to stand performance stallions and breed quality mare power for your next champion. We welcome you to visit or inquire about our activities or our horses anytime. We are here to help you achieve your dreams and goals with your horses!

Currently Thea Chesney is an active 4-H leader for the Just Horsin’ Around Club, am active with the American Polocrosse Association, and owner and president of CC Thoroughbred Farm and Training, LLC. Her horse activities are very broad including polocrosse, reining, cutting, reined cow horse, western pleasure, barrels, racing, jumping, halter and roping.
