The Community Center Branch opened in May 1985 in what was then known as the Canton Urban League Community Center. Though the building has changed its name to the Edward L. "Peel" Coleman Community Center, the Stark County District Library Community Center Branch has been a fixture in this building for more than 20 years.

We, the Stark County District Library, comprised of the Board of Trustees, Director, management, staff and volunteers, will base our decisions and actions on our commitment to these core values:
