Now in its thirteenth year, the Haunted Basement is an annual horror experience which marries artist-driven installations with immersive theater performance in an environment which is at turns surreal and psychologically unsettling.

Since its inception in 2006, The Haunted Basement has garnered a nationally-renowned reputation for its immersive spin on the traditional haunted attraction; blending artist-driven environments and psychological horrors with immersive theatre to vault beyond the usual tropes of vampires and chainsaws. Now in its thirteenth season, the company has evolved by leaving its long-time home at The Soap Factory and becoming its own non-profit organization to expand its programming and its mission of experimental and experiential theatre through the lens of terror.
