NORTH AMERICAN MARTYRS Council was founded in 1956 through the efforts of the of our first Grand Knight John Trocki; DGK Bill Bock: Chancellor Frank Lawrence; Financial Secretary Bob Pifke, and Treasurer Don Walgren.

As the initial meetings were held at St. John Brebeuf Parish, in retrospect it seems natural that the name North American Martyrs was chosen, as the Sainthood of the Martyrs, Jean de Brebeuf and Isaac Jogues, is honored by local churches bearing their name.
