About Us
The purpose of the Meade County Performing Arts Council is to provide a place for the performing arts in Meade County, Kansas. Membership is open to anyone in the area who is interested in our goals.

Meade County Performing Arts Center: Our vision is a building with a stage, permanent sound and lighting with optional seating that can accommodate dinner theater or row seating. We see the building as a multi-use venue, being available to the community for plays, recitals, dance class, private parties, wedding receptions, concerts, youth group activities, business events and much more. We especially want to foster the performing arts in our young citizens. Our plans for purchasing the old Opera House building in Meade have fallen through as we could not negotiate a purchase with the owners. We are currently talking to an architect for an initial study to construct a new facility.
