The mission of the Prichard Public Library is to provide a secureandcomfortable environmentwhich allows citizens to grow intellectually, aesthetically, and creatively as they discover, explore, and learn about the world in which they exist. It is believed the encouragement of such personal growth processes will enhance not only individual citizens but will promote a positive community attitude toward learning that will amass numerous benefits for the entire locale. The ultimate mission of the Library is to provide the resources that will make it the focal point of information in the community and the impetus for promoting, stimulating, and encouragingthe transmittal of our American cultural values from one generation to another.
