Rose Avenue is situated in the eastern section of the City of Modesto in Stanislaus County. The school was built in 1960 and is one of 23 elementary schools in the District. The school composed of 23 classrooms serves students from kindergarten through the sixth grade. Rose Avenue School is a California Distinguished School with many special programs and a very active PTA. Academic excellence for ALL students continues to be our number one goal and priority. A strong emphasis on "standards-based" instruction and early literacy practices has resulted in outstanding STAR and API scores. Our mission statement outlines the commitment we have toward students: "Respecting Our Students' Education, Achieving and Valuing Excellence in a Nurturing and Unifying Environment"
